Miss Rachel Pike

Therapist / Psychological Support Partner

Rachel Pike - Therapist - Psychologist

Rachel Pike is an experienced Psychologist and therapist and the founder of New Me Psychology, providing compassionate, evidence-based psychological support for individuals navigating fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, trauma, and significant life transitions.

Working alongside the Fertility & Gynaecology team, Rachel supports patients both before, during, and after treatment, recognising that fertility care is not only a medical journey, but an emotional one that can bring uncertainty, grief, anxiety, and deep vulnerability.

Rachel offers a safe, non-judgemental space where patients can process their experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and feel supported as a whole person — not just a patient.

Areas of Support

Rachel works with individuals and couples to support:

  • Emotional preparation for fertility treatment

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional fatigue during treatment

  • Pregnancy loss, miscarriage, and reproductive trauma

  • Pre- and post-treatment psychological support

  • Trauma-informed care for medical or reproductive experiences

  • Identity, self-worth, and emotional regulation during fertility challenges

  • Relationship and communication support where fertility impacts partnership dynamics

Her work complements clinical care, ensuring emotional wellbeing is supported alongside physical treatment.

Therapeautic Approach

Rachel’s approach is:

  • Trauma-informed – recognising how fertility and medical experiences can impact the nervous system and emotional safety

  • Compassion-led – creating space for difficult emotions without pressure to “stay positive”

  • Collaborative and empowering – helping patients feel in control, informed, and supported

  • Evidence-based – drawing on established therapeutic models while tailoring support to the individual

Rachel understands that fertility-related distress is often invisible to others, and believes patients deserve validation, understanding, and care throughout their journey.

From Rachel : Why I chose Psychology

Fertility challenges can touch every part of a person’s life — emotionally, physically, relationally, and psychologically. I’m passionate about ensuring people don’t feel they have to carry that weight alone.

My role is to offer a calm, safe space where emotions can be explored honestly, without judgement or expectation. Whether someone is preparing for treatment, recovering from loss, or navigating trauma connected to their fertility journey, my aim is to help them feel grounded, supported, and heard.

I believe emotional support isn’t an “extra” — it’s a vital part of holistic care. By working alongside the clinical team, I hope to help patients feel more resilient, informed, and compassionate towards themselves at every stage.
